Increasing Product Performance Requirements
Have your customers increased product performance requirements for your existing products?
The cold forging process
saves money and resources by:
Elimination of
secondary machining
operations
These operations produce scrap chips, shavings and cutting fluids that can result in costly disposal fees. Not to mention the cost of the machines and the cost of their operation and maintenance.
Reducing the need for
heat treatment
In some cases, due to the work hardening characteristics that the cold forging process has on nearly all metals we can eliminate the need to heat treat the product.
Reduces the need for
costlier grades of raw materials
The cold forging process also creates a far superior grain flow of the material in the finished product as compared to a part that has been simply machined from solid.
